Mark Murphy

Mr. Murphy served as Innkeepers USA Trust's Vice President and General Counsel for 14 years, and helped steer Innkeepers through its $47 million IPO in 1994, $1.8 billion going private transaction in 2007 and restructuring/bankruptcy in 2009-2011. He has worked with Mr. Beilinson in the restructurings/bankruptcies of Innkeepers USA Trust, Eagle Hospitality Trust, Fisker Automobile, Inc. and Seaboard Realty LLC, and in the out of court restructuring of The Abbey Company.

Prior to Innkeepers, Mr. Murphy was employed for nine years by the Hunton & Williams law firm as an associate and partner. He helped to build Hunton & Williams' nationally prominent real estate investment trust practice, developing a specialty in hotels and working with many hotel enterprises that became public companies. Mr. Murphy graduated from LeMoyne College (Syracuse, NY) and Washington & Lee University School of Law, and is a licensed attorney in Florida and Virginia.
